For Cub fans

Filed under: Cubs, General baseball — R.J. @ 4:32 pm

Apropos of nothing, one of the Padres announcers finally said what millions of non-Cardinal fans have wanted to say for so very long:

(hat tip: Awful Announcing, obviously)

Enjoy, Cub fans.

And now, he’s got a tired arm. Awesome. What a crappy couple of days for Sox fans.

Good thing you didn’t tell me that, because I would be eating my words right now.

For the first time since 2003, the Cubs are in first place (well, technically they’re tied with the Brewers) later than April. That’s awesome.

Ken Williams and the success cycle

In 2002, Jonah Keri (no longer with BP) wrote an excellent piece over at BP about the success cycle. The fourth paragraph explains the concept pretty well: (more…)
